AIR SERVICES USE PARAPARAUMU
FIRST DAY OF CHANGE From Our Own Reporter WELLINGTON, September 29. The National Airways Corporation had seven 14-seater buses and two seven-seater motor-cars on the road to-day to transport air passengers to and from Paraparaumu. This was the first day of the change-over of operations from Rongotai. The change-over has meant considerable reorganisation, including the drafting of a new time-table to allow for the difference in flying times. The accommodation provided for air travellers. although not yet finished, was satisfactory, and many passengers praised the facilities which had been made available so quickly.
The corporation’s present schedule provides for 25 arrivals and departures during a day. The transport of staff to the aerodrome was another problem, because the first employees on duty in the morning start about 6 o’clock.
