BOY OCTUPLETS BORN
REPORT FROM CHINA (Rec. 10 p.m.) SHANGHAI. Sept. 27. Mr Chang Shy Ping, director of the Tax Bureau at Ishing, 120 miles from Shanghai, announced that his niece, Mrs Chang Ping Wei. had given birth to boy octuplets at Yang Pang Chen, in the Communist controlled area north-east of Tientsin. One of the babies died after birth, but the remaining seven and their mother are "sound and hale.” Mr Chang said the Communists had ordered special rations for the family.
