CIVIL SERVANTS IN PALESTINE
ASSURANCE GIVEN BY BRITAIN (Rec. 10 p.m.) JERUSALEM, Sept. 27. The Palestine Government has announced. with the authority of Mr Creech Jones that iji the event of constitutional changes, the Government will adequately safeguard the interests of Palestine Government officers and will make every effort to absorb officers into other jobs in the Colonial Service.
It would allow those who did not wish to transfer to retire with compensation. British policemen would receive benefits on the premature termination of their service.
