PARTY AFFILIATIONS AND BALLOT PAPERS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. An amendment to the Local Elections and Polls Act to allow political party affiliations to be shown after the candidates’ names on ballot papers for the forthcoming local body elections was sought by Mr P. G. Connolly (Government, Dunedin Central) in the House of Representatives this afternoon, when he gave notice of a question on the point to the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr W. E. Parry).
