NEW ROCKET WEAPON EXPERIMENTS
AUSTRALIAN SCIENTISTS GOING TO BRITAIN (Rec. 7 p.rq.) LONDON, Sept. 24. Sixty Australian scientists are expected to arrive in Britain soon for study and research work at the Supply Ministry establishments handling rocket range experiments with new weapons, says Reuters. “Extensive experiments will be undertaken while they are here,” said a Ministry spokesman. Re added that nothing had been arranged for British scientists and technicians to visit Australia,‘but some were undoubtedly going ultimately.
Ruhr Coal Agreement— Mr R. Massigli, the French Ambassador in London, has'given the official French view on the British-American agreement on Ruhr coal production in a letter to the Foreign Secretary (Mr Ernest Bevin). It is understood that the letter did not withdraw the previous French objections to the British proposal to turn flver the management of the mines to the Germans.—Landon, September 24.
