PLAN FOR CONVERSION OF BARRACKS . A preliminary survey of the Royal New Zealand Air Force station at Wigram to determine what surplus buildings could be converted into married quarters for service and civilian employees of the Air Department was carried out recently. There are about 30 married men with families waiting for housing on the station, and the proposed conversion of surplus barracks blocks will enable them to D®
closer to their jobs instead of living off station. The Minister of Defence (Mr F.
