AUSTRALIAN MEMBER APPOINTED
(Rec. 9 p.m.) CANBERRA, Sept 24. Judge Kirby, of the Commonwealth Arbitration Court, will be the Auwfralian representative on the committee of three to be set Up by the United Nations Security Council to deal with the Dutch-Indonesian dispute. “I hope the committee will meet at Singapore at an early date," said the Pffcne Minister (Mr Chifley). “Observation of the cease fire order of the Security Council cannot be maintained Indefinitely and much depends on an early commencement of negotiations for a permanent settlement.”
