NEW CABINET IN HUNGARY
(Rec. 7 p.m.) BUDAPEST, Sept. 23. A new Hungarian Government has been formed. It includes five Communists, four Smallholders, four Socialists, and two members or the National . Peasant Party. Mr Rakosi (Communist) and Mr Szakasits (Socialist) remain VicePremiers. Mr Molnar (Communist) becomes Foreign Minister. The leader of the National Peasant Party (Mr Veres) is the new Minister of Defence.
HUNGARY REPLIES TO BRITAIN
OPERATION OF SOVIET COMPANIES
(Rec. 11 p.m.) BUDAPEST, Sept. 24. Replying to a British Note delivered last month, the Hungarian Government deciares that equal facilities will be granted to commercial companies wonting for Hungary’s industrial development regardless of whether they are in Hungarian, Russian, British, or American hands. The British Note complained strongly against Hungary’s granting privileges to Russian-Hungarian companies, such as special tax exemptions, contrary to the peace treaty.
