ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT
Sir, —No wonder electrical manufacturers in this country say that the purchaser is quite satisfied with the available electrical equipment. I have waited in vain for some interested housewives to come to my assistance in an i endeavour to force the manufacturers ; to make some improvements to eleci trie ranges and other equipment. Ap- ; patently, Mr Chambers, and myself are 1 the only two people in the whole of New Zealand who are not satisfied with what we can buy. I have always thought that New Zealanders were progressive and determined, but, apparently, I was mistaken. No one seems to think that a fight is worth the effort. After all, if no one complains why should manufacturers make any changes which will involve them in additional expense when they can make all the money they want without doing anything to encourage people to buy their particular make of range. Please won’t some other housewife, just one. come to my aid and fulfil my faith in New Zealand women?—Yours, etc.. EELEN PRIESTLEY. September 23, 1947.
