MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
CASHMERE STILL LEADING ,The Christchurch Miniature Rifle Association fired its fifteenth series of matches in the winter tournament. In a close match with New Brighton, Cashmere retained its two points lead in the senior championship. Both totals were below that Of senior standards. The two leaders' in the senior individual aggregate, H. Barker (Sydenham) and R. E. Taylor (Cashmere), still remain level, both scoring possibles. These two riflemen are shooting very consistently, having only dropped four points each in 13 matches counting fbr the aggregate. Results were:— Senior Matches.—Returned Services 553, United 553; Christchurch W.M.C. 553, Christchurch 547; Sydenham 549, Sumner 547; Cashmere 548, New Brighton 545; City 548, Heathcote 545.
