PRECEDENCY WINS MAIN RACE (P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 14. The second day of the Avondale Jockey Club’s spring meeting was held yesterday in showery weather, and the going was very heavy. The totalisator handled £133,857 10s, against £131,023 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £272,923 10s, against £273,742 last year. Len Rosa was first past the post in the Avondale Guineas from Fifths Note and Wonder Boy. A protest on the grounds of interference by Len Rosa with Fifth Note near the finish was upheld, and the first and second placings were reversed. Results:— - KINGSLAND HURDLES, Of £750.
