HAWERA TEAMS WIN DRAMA FESTIVAL
(FA.) PALMERSTON N-„ Sept. 14. The Hawera Women’s Club won the British Drama League’s North Island festival, at Palmerston North on Saturday night. The festival was the conclusion of the district elimination contests which had been held in most centres of the North Island in the last few months. - . The producer for the winning team was Mrs Patricia McKenzie. Three other teams contested the final. They were the Palmerston North Little Theatre Society, the Wellington W.E.A. drama group, and the Hamilton People’s Theatre. The judge was Mr G. H. A. Swan, Wellington.
