SQUASH RACKET CONTEST
(P.A.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Sept. 5. The New Zealand squash racket championships, with 57 entries, started to-day. Players were present from Hamilton, Timaru, Oamaru, Christchurch, and Palmerston North. In the first round, Warren (Hamilton) beat Andrews (Palmerston North), 9-4, 9-7, 2-9, 9-6; Macgibbon (Palmerston North) beat Reed (Palmerston North), 9-3, 7-9, = 9-1, 9-2.
