“MEIN KAMPF” AS EVIDENCE

DEFENCE OBJECTS AT NUREMBERG (Rec. 7 p.m.) NUREMBURG, Aug. 28. Defence counsel in the war crimes trial cf 24 officials of the I. G. Farbenindustrie chemical combine, who are charged with major responsibility for the Second World War, objected to th? prosecution reading passages from “Mein Kampf” on the ground that the book was written in 1925 when Hitler was a private person. The Court overruled the objection, adding that the value of the book as evidence had not yet been ascertained. The defence could raise the question again if the trial showed that the case had nothing to do with the book.
