CANTERBURY COLLEGE HEALTH SCHEME
RESTORATION OF GYMNASIUM Work has begun on the restoration ot the gymnasium of Canterbury University College for use in the health scheme which it is hoped to introduce next year. The full plan has yet to be approved. * During the war years, the gymnasium was used as a store and workshop by sections of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research established at Canterbury College for special work. Stock has been removed and the interior of the building is being reconstructed. The health scheme envisages regular medical examination of students, provision for remedial exercises, and increased attention to physical training. A physical welfare officer will be in charge.
