SCOTTISH “FIERY CROSS” IN CHRISTCHURCH.-—A photograph taken on Saturday, when Canterbury Scots gathered to receive the symbolic “Fiery Cross” from Edinburgh. The cross was flown to New Zealand to advertise the “Scottish Enterprise. 1947,” industrial exhibition, which will open in Edinburgh to-day. Mr W. T. Lindsay (chieftain of the Christchurch Scottish Society) is seen handing the cross to Mr J. Gowans (secretary of the Ashburton Scottish Society). Mr H.
