DUTCH ADVANCE REPORTED
DRIVE TO RECAPTURE TJITJALENGKA
(Rec. 11 p.m.) BATAVIA. July 30. A Dutch convoy of 55 vehicles moved yesterday from Tandjongaari, near Bandoeng, in another south-eastward drive to recapture Tjitjalengka, according to a Republican communique. Fighting near Tjitjalengka continued throughout the day.
CALCUTTA BAN ON DUTCH CARGOES
(Rec. 9 p.m.) CALCUTTA, July 29. The Calcutta Port Trust Employees’ Association has instructed dock workers and shipping company employees not to handle cargoes for Holland or Dutch supplies for Indonesia.
