“BLUE BABY” RETURNS.—Five-year-old Marie Stewart, the former “blue baby,” who recently underwent a major surgical operation in the United States, photographed with her mother, Mrs R. J. W. Rose, of Palmerston North, soon after her arrival in Christchurch last evening on a visit to her grandmother. The little girl had suffered from birth from a rare form of cyanosis, which gave her a~blue-black colour from head to foot. She frequently lapsed into unconsciousness and could scarcely walk, but now she. has. been transformed into a normal child.
