LORD NATHAN TO VISIT N.Z.
BRITISH MINISTER OF CIVIL AVIATION
LONDON, July 25. The Minister of Civil Aviation (Lord Nathan) said at a press conference that he would visit Australia and New Zealand in August at the invitation of the Australian and New Zealand Governments.
He will lead the United Kingdom delegation to the South Pacific Air Transport- Council which will meet at Canberra from August 11 to August 14.
Lady Nathan, who is chairman of the London County Council, will accompany Lord Nathan, whose delegation will include his private secretary. Mr R. D. Poland, the DirectorGeneral of Long-term Planning (Mr Peter Masefield), the Director of Finance (Mr J. McCaig and three other officials of the Ministry. They will leave London by air on August 1.
Lord and Lady Nathan will remain in Australia until August 25 and will then go to New Zealand with Mr Poland and stay there until September 8.
"That is where I am going to spend my summer vacation.” Lord Nathan said. He will not return to London until October, as he is going to Singapore, Hong Kong. Nanking and Bangkok, after leaving Australia on the return journey.
