THEFT OF WIRE

ONE ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. July 25. On a charge of stealing 10 tons of wire from the Government, Leonard James Thompson Ross, company manager, aged 43 was found guilty by a jury in the Supreme Court, Wellington, to-day.

On a joint charge of theft of wire against Ross and Martin Anthony Fahey, a clerk, aged 45, and on a further charge against Ross of receiving verdicts of not guilty were returned. The Chief Justice (Sir Humphrey O’Leary) discharged Fahey, and remanded Ross until Tuesday for sentence
