REMAND GRANTED On a charge of failing to comply with the terms of a probation order, Basil Joseph Foley, alias Basil Patrick Joseph Foley, a labourer, aged 22, was remanded to appear next Monday. Bail was fixed at £lO. SUSPENDED SENTENCE Appearing for sentence on a charge of being idle and disorderly in that he had insufficient lawful visible means of support, Alfred William Donaldson, alias Alfred William Stanley, alias Alfred Stanley Donaldson, a labourer, aged 54, of no fixed abode, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within 12 months. A condition that he return to the Salvation Army home was made. CASE DISMISSED A charge of parking a car without lights on the night of June 25. against Colin Lawrence Sumner, was dismissed. In evidence Sumner said that when he left the car the lights wore on; but when he returned, he noticed that they were cut and a sticker was on the windscreen. On examining the car he noticed a window had been smashed. He believed that the lights had been switched off to enable a theft to be committed in safety. Two overcoats in the car had not been touched. TRAFFIC OFFENCES Offenders against the traffic regulations were fined as follows unless otherwise stated • Driving motor-van without due care and attention—Leonard Robert William Lee (Mr D. W.
