SOUTH ISLAND TOUR
AIR TRIP TO DAY TO INVERCARGILL From Our Own Reporter WELLINGTON July 18. Field-Marshal Montgomery wiil start nis South Island tour to-morrow. Accompanied by the Minister ot Defence 'Mr F. Jones) and his personal staff, he will leave Rongotai aerodrome at 9 a.m. in a National Airways Corporation Lodestar, and is scheduled to arrive at Invercargill at noon. A second Lodestar with other members of the official party will leave Wellington about the same time Field-Marshal Montgomeiy will leave Invercargill by motor-cai for Dunedin early on Sunday afternoon. Leaving Dunedin at 2 o’clock on Monday afternoon, he will motor to Oamaru. and after about an hour’s stop there, will continue to Timaru where he will scend the night He is due to arrive in Christchurch at 11.32 a.m. on Tuesday, and to leave there for the West Coast, via the Lewis Pass, at 9 o'clock on Wednesday morning.
