PRISONERS OF WAR MEET AGAIN

REFEREE AND SOUTH ' AFRICAN PLAYER

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, July 3. An unusual meeting took place yesterday on the field in the Otago-South Africa Association match. The referee, Mr W. M. Smith, walked over to D. Wilson, the Springbok centre-forward, and asked if he had ever teen in a prisoner of war camp.

Both were prisoners at Stalag IVB, Muhlberg, Germany, Wilson from 1943 to the end of the war, and Mr Smith for the last 17 months of the war.
