FIVE CHIMNEY FIRES

Five calls to chimney fires were answered by the Christchurch Fire Brigade yesterday. At 5.1 p.m., it put out a chimney fire at 52 Charles street, and at 5.5 p.m. another call to 147 Fitzgerald avenue was answered. At 5.34 p.m. another chimney fire was reported at 62 Holly road, and at 6.40 p.m another occurred at 103 Moorhouse avenue. At 9.1 a.m, yesterday a chimney fire was put out at 22 Silvester street.
