Middlesex won by three wickets. Lancashire: first innings. 295 (Place 132, Ikin 68; McMahon, five for 81). Second innings, three for 96. Surrey: first innings, 334 (Fletcher 95, Barling 86). The match was drawn.

Egyptian Youths Imprisoned —A Court sentenced 10 Egyptian youths, all university students, to terms of imprisonment ranging from three to 10 years on charges of throwing grenadeagainst British institutions and individuals.—Alexandria, June 10.
