FOUR SOLDIERS ARRESTED
ALLEGED BRITISH DESERTERS (Rec. 7 p.m.) ALEPPO, June 9. The police have arrested four soldiers alleged to be British officers who deserted their units in Palestine after killing Jewish terrorists in revenge for the death of a comrade, says the correspondent in Damascus of the British United Press. . . Pending an investigation, Syria is reported to have refused a British demand for the extradition of the four men. Syria recently decided to give asylum to deserters from foreign armies except those accused of crimes.
