STOCK EXCHANGES LIMITED SALES INCLUDE RISES IN MACDUFFS Business was restricted on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. A feature was the sharp rise of 3s recorded in Macduffs ordinary shares when a sale of 110 was reported at 445: the preference shares were also 3d firmer on reported business at 28s 9d. National Bank of Australasia contributing shares were unchanged at 20s 6d. Kaitangata Coal shares had their first local business this year with a reported sale at 26s 6d. This represented a rise of Is on the last sale. New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative secured deposit stock, maturing 1950, was 10s higher at £lO2 ss. Bruce Woollen shares were 3d’easier at 435, and Kaiapoi Woollen shares recorded a drop of Is on reported business at 295. Colonial Sugar shares were unchanged at £56.
