Option on Steam Generating Plant An undertaking tb cable immediately to the United States to obtain an option on a 30.000 kilowatt steam turbine generating plant, of which details had been obtained by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, was given by the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department (Mr R. Semple) to a deputation from the chamber which met him at Tauranga. A report to this effect was given by the deputation at a meeting in Auckland yesterday.—(P.A.)
