ITALIAN LABOUR CONFEDERATION
CLAUSE INCLUDED IN CHARTER CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATS’ OPPOSITION (Hee. 7 p.m.) . . ROME, June 8. A dissenting minority of Christian Democrats described a resolution carried by the Italian Confederation of Labour as a threat of political strikes. The resolution, which will be included in the Confederation’s charter, says the Confederation “can take a position” on political problems of interest to the Labour movement The majority of the 1800 delegates present shouted, stamped, and howled down protests from the 60 Christian Democrats. . The Communist Party, which dominates the Confederation, has issued a directive denouncing Mr de Gaspen s new government.
