NEW ZEALAND DRIVERS’ FEDERATION

MR H. M’CAW RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 9. Mr H. McCaw (Canterbury) was reelected president of the New Zealand Drivers’ Federation at the annual conference of the federation in Wellington. Mr F. C. Allerby (Wellington) was re-elected secretary. The conference decided to propose to the Commissioner of Transport (Mr G. L. Laurenson) additional measures in the interests of safety on omnibuses, and to endorse the setting up by the Standards Institute of sectional committees to review the packaging of goods in non-metal containers with a view to standardisation.
