TWO VESSELS ON FIRE

(Rec. 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 9. The British steamer Malayan Prince, bound for Haifa from Liverpool was ablaze this morning in Alexandria harbour where she is unloading, says the correspondent of the Associated Press. The fire began in a lower hold from an unknown cause and spread with lightning speed. One of the ship’s engineers and an Egyptian guard were injured. A message from Lisbon says a fire which began in the hold of the British steamer Baron Forbes soon after ft left the Tagus for England yesterday was still raging when the vessel put back to Lisbon this morning.
