IMPERIAL CRICKET CONFERENCE
LONDON, May 19. The Imperial Cricket Conference, at which Mr A. H. H. Gilligan represented New Zealand, defined a firstclass match in future as a match of three or more duration, between teams of first-class, players, the governing body in each country to decide on the status of the teams. The conference approved the following tours for inelusion in the programme already arranged for 1947-48: M.C.C. to West Indies. India to Australia; 1949-50, M.C.C. to India, Australia to South Africa; 1950, West Indies to England; 1951, South Africa to 1 England.
