RETAIL PRICES IN U.S.
NEWBURYPORT PLAN FAILS (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 19. Nearly all this seaport’s stores reduced retail prices, but when the trial period ended, first one and then another dropped out quietly. They said it was too costly to continue the reductions without similar cuts by wholesalers.
