CONDEMNED GERMAN GENERALS
GREEK KING REJECTS PLEAS FOR MERCY
ATHENS. May 19. King Paul rejected pleas for mercy from two German generals whom the War Crimes Court sentenced to death in December, 1946. They were Bruno Brauer.’military governor of Crete from 1942 to 1944. and Frederick Wilhelm Mueller, his assistant and successor, both of whom were found guilty of having murdered Greek citizens. Both have been executed.
