ELECTION BY GRADUATES

SEATS ON COLLEGE COUNCIL

There will be an election on June 2 for the two seats of the Court of Convocation (graduates) falling vacant on the Canterbury University College Council this year, for which four nominations have been received. They are: —Messrs D. W. Bain, A. E. Flower, C. W. Hamann, and J. R. Templin. The other four seats becoming vacant will be filled by the only nominees of the respective electoral rolls: —Messrs J. T. Watts (Parliamentary), S. J. Irwin (school committees), Duncan Mackay (teachers), and A. O. Wilkinson (appointed by the GovernorGeneral).

Mr Flower is the only sitting member among the graduates’ nominees, and Mr Watts and Mr Wilkinson are also sitting members.
