St. James* Anglican Church.— The churchwardens’ annual report of St. James’ Anglican Church. Riccarton, was presented to a large attendance of parishioners. Although the year began with a debit balance of £35 it ended with a credit balance: £lOO was paid for church property loans and £23 more was paid to missions. Besides this. £l5O was paid into re serve during the year. The Sunday school had a regular attendance on Sundays of 270 children, and the Bible class a regular attendance of over 60 The churchwardens advised that about £lBO was available towards a curate’s stipend, and methods to raise another £l5O were discussed.
