INQUIRY TO BE HELD
BRISBANE, MSy 7. The Premier of Queensland (Mr A. Hanlon) has ordered an open inquiry into the train disaster near Brisbane. A,meeting Of the State Cabinet tomorrow will appoint a Judge Sna assessors for the inqtory. . . . An Offer by Mr Hanton of » State funeral for the victims has been rejected by various relatives, tot ftmny & partinent officials personally visited the relatives of the dead, and the Commissioner (Mr R. T. I*. Wills) paid visits to all the injured. ~ If the Court of Inquiry finds that the Railways Department or its employees were negligent, the Government may face damages claims exceeding £60,000.
