RUGBY FOOTBALL
PROTEST SENT FROM WAIRARAPA (PA.) MASTERTON, May 7. The Wairarapa Rugby Union has strongly protested because no Wairarapa players are included in the North Island trials teams. The union suggests that the form of B. Couch, the first five-eighths, and Alan Blake, the' Kiwi forward, are equal to any in New Zealand, and that they are not included will have a detrimental effect on country football. Wairarapa has sent a telegram on these lines to the New Zealand Union.
