National Savings Returns. The national savings quota this week was exceeded at 314 places, an increase of six on the figures for the preceding week. All the provincial centres were successful and in each of the 20 postal districts the full district quota was ob- ■ tained. Since, the- beginning of the financial year on April 1 last 11 areas have subscribed their full year’s quotas. The latest places to record this achievement have been Ward (Marlborough), Waimana (Gisborne), Matiere (King Country), Pongaroa (.Manawatu), and Waverley (Wanga- i nui).—(P.A.) 1
