JEWISH PRISONER ESCAPES
POLICE SEARCH WITH BLOODHOUNDS
(Rec. 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 14. Qeula Cohen, eged 21, a member of the Stern Gang, who was serving seven years’ imprisonment for carrying arms, escaped from the prisoners’ ward of the Government hospital in Jerusalem. She had had pneumonia for a week. She is believed to have been the chief announcer on the Stem Gang’s illegal radio. Three hundred policemen with bloodhounds are hunting for Cohen. The police believe she got clear of the hospital by donning an Arab woman’s robes.
