AMERICAN TEAM TO ARRIVE NEXT WEEK
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 31. Six prominent American wrestlers will arrive in Auckland on the Marine Phoenix next Tuesday for the New Zealand wrestling season. * The New Zealand Wrestling Association’s promoter in the United States, Mr Walter Miller, who has arranged their tour, arrived in Auckland from San Francisco by Pan American Airways Clipper to-day.
The six men, who are all over 6ft lin in height and 2301 b in weight, are: Paul Boesh, of New York; Jim Henry, of Boston; Key Bell, of Washington; Tom Rice, of California; Arthuf Kuss, of the Middle West, and Jim Wright. The team will stay several months in New Zealand, and will wrestle in most of the principal centres “I am satisfied they are one of the best teams we have ever brought to New Zealand from America,” Mr Miller said. The Americans would meet New Zealanders, including “Lofty” Blomfield, and would stage matches among themselves.
