BOOKMAKER FINED £200
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 31. A fine of £2OO was imposed by Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, on James Maloney, a hairdresser, of Wellington, who pleaded guilty to a charge of carrying on the business of a bookmaker on March 29. Senior-Detective E. H. Compton said the accused had been before the Court in March, 1945, on a charge of bookmaking, and had been fined £lOO
