Discussion By Ministers

TO BE REVIEWED (N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, March 17. The Foreign Ministers’ conference in Moscow to-day will discuss means of securing economic unity and review the reparations to be demanded, mainly the Russian claims, says -the correspondent in Moscow of “The Times.” The British and Americans believe that the Russian dentends far exceed Germany’s capacity to pay. They will be extremely reluctant to agree to charges on current production on top of all the dismantling of industry for reparations to which the Powers are committed by the Potsdam agreement. Mr Bevin and General Marshall will enter the discussions knowing tfiat their combined zone is committed to a definite constructive plan for its economic salvation. They will welcome signs that the Russians are now seeking unity.
