Messrs W. A. Bascand, J. A. Maddren, J. A. White, C. Dunsford, and R. T. Alston (secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association) will be the Christchurch members of a delegation of New Zealand manufacturers which will visit Australia this month to investigate supplies of raw materials. Messrs Dunsford and Alston will leave to-day for Auckland for consultations with manufacturers there.
Group Captain Rex. L. Kippenberger, 0.8. E., who has been appointed second-in-command of a Royal Air Force flying mission to Australia and New Zealand, has arrived in Melbourne, according to advice received in Waimate. Group Captain Kippenberger, who is accompanied by his wife and son, is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs K. Kippenberger, of Waimate.
Messrs A. P. Craig and A. W. Morland will represent the Canterbury Wrestling Association at the annual conference of the Dominion Wrestling Association to be held at Wellington this month.
