CHRISTCHURCH WEST HIGH SCHOOL
OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION
At the annual meeting of the Christchurch West High School Old Girls’ Association held this week it was reported that the main events of interest during the year had been the annual dinner and picture party, and the Old Pupils’ Ball held in conjunction with the Christchurch West Old Boys’ Association.
The Association’s aim to increase the scholarship fund established in 1945 had been realised and a second scholarship has now been awarded for present-day girls. The following officers were elected: —patron, Mrs C. A. Noble; president, Mrs Lorraine Wyse; vice-presidents. Misses B. Hale. E. Pengelley, Mesdames Joyce Armstrong, Marjorie Mackie and Dorothy Whetter; secre-tary-treasurer. Miss Inah Brettell; committee. Miss Zoe Ayling, Mrs Noeline Crimp. Misses Alma Murray. Lois Tindall, June Wenborn, Joan Woodward, and Valerie Woodward.
