A. Johnston, the owner-driver of Atom 11, expects to attain a speed of 50 miles an hour in Picton Harbour. At this speed from start to finish he may be counted upon to extend the higher-powered boats over the 21-mile course. The New Brighton PowerBoat Club, which has AtonWH as one of its representative hydroplanes, will make a strong bid for the other races to be competed for at Picton on the same day Poti Tiere, Spitfire, Zipper, and Myra B \vill compete in the Black and White Cup.
