BLOODSTOCK SALE AT TRENTHAM
1550GNS PAID FOR BROOD MARE (P.A.) WELLINGTON. March 14. Top price at the autumn bloodstock sale held at Trentham to-day was 1550 guineas, paid for a brood mare, Sanciful. Sanciful. who had a filly foal by Tweed n, is by Foxbridge from Fantastic. She was bought by Mrs A. Williams, Mastgrton. Other good prices paid for brood mares were:— Dayspring. purchased by K. G. Poulgrain and Son. Gisborne. 500gns; Biddy Machree, bought by K. G. Poulgrain and Son for 470gns: and Mashine, sold to A. E. Preston. jun.. Wellington, for 420gns. Peter Robinson was purchased on behalf of Mrs E. C. Harnett. Darling Point, Sydney, for 800gns. The best price for a yearling was 460gns J- Carnercn - acting on behalf of Mr M. R. Hope, Napier, paid for a colt by Broiefort from a Marilliad stallion. Mishna was purchased by J. Griffith. Masterton, ior lOOgns. A total of 35 lots sold lox an aggregate of 8034igus.
