BANDITRY IN BURMA
ATTACKS IN THREE DISTRICTS TROOPS SENT TO SMASH OUTBREAK (Rec. 7.45 p.m.). RANGOON, IVlarch 8. A British Burma Command communique announced that British. Indian, and Burmese troops were being sent with armoured cars to the Pegu. Toungoo, and Yamethin districts to smash would-be Dacoit dictatorship. The Dacoits, using machine-guns and hand grenades, were attacking and even yjU,gers and paralysing the Government administration. Bandits derailed a train near Pyinyaung. 25 toiles from Thazi, and shot and Silled 28 passengers. Reuter’s Rangoon correspondent says the killed included seven British noncommissioned officers. Fourteen passengers were injured. ___ ,
