A BLIND CORNER

Sir.—l complained to the City Council three or four months ago of the danger caused by gorse growing on council property at the corner of Lyttelton street and Frankleigh street, Spreydon. I was led to understand that it would be attended to. Nothing has been done so far. A very bad accident occurred there last Sunday. Have we to wait till someone is killed before the council moves in the matter?—Yours, etc., • SAFETY FIRST. February 26, 1947. [The City Engineer, Mr E. Somers, states: “No reCord of any earlier complaint can be found. Arrangements have been made to have shrubs and undergrowth cleared to give good visibility.”]
