OBITUARY
MR R. H. WYNYARD Mr Robert Henry Wynyard of Remuera, Auckland, died last- Wednesday in his eightieth year. He was a grandson of Lieutenant-Colonel R. H. Wynyard, who, as Colonel of\ the 58th Regiment, -was military Governor of New Zealand in 1854 and Superintendent of the Province of Auckland. Mr Wynyard-was born in Auckland and educated at the Church of Englapd Grammar School, Parnell and he became well known in business circles throughout the province. He was first associated with the hardware firm of T. and S. Morrin and afterwards with the Auckland Drug Company, his own firm of R. H. Wynyard and Company, hardware merchants, and finally, up to the time of his retirement, with Brittaih. Wynyard and Company, Ltd, In liis younger day<j Mr Wynyard a prominent part in polo and hunting, and latterly took up golf. He married Miss Ella Eaton, of Greenmount, East T.amaki, and is survived by his wife and a family of four.
